Are you experienced in training, coaching or developing people within a manufacturing or production environment?
We’re looking for a Shift Trainer to join a busy food manufacturing site, helping production colleagues build their skills, work safely and follow the correct processes.
This is a hands-on role on the shop floor, not a desk-based training position.
What you’ll be doing:
- Training and coaching production colleagues.
- Supporting new starter inductions and onboarding.
- Assessing people’s skills and competency.
- Keeping training records and competency documents up to date.
- Identifying skills gaps and arranging further training.
- Updating SOPs and making sure colleagues are retrained when processes change.
- Working closely with Production Managers, Shift Managers and the L&D team.
- Helping improve standards, performance and compliance across the shift.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience training, coaching or mentoring others.
- Manufacturing, production or operational experience.
- Confident communicator who can engage people at all levels.
- Organised and comfortable managing training records.
- Someone approachable who can build trust on the shop floor.
- Food manufacturing experience would be beneficial.
- Train the Trainer or similar qualification would be advantageous.
What’s on offer:
- £13.97 per hour
- Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:00
- 37.5 hours per week
- Paid weekly
- 28 days’ holiday
If you’re someone who enjoys helping people learn, improving standards and being part of a busy production environment, this could be a great next step.
