Senior Vice-President Finance – International FMCG

Location: London, UK | Executive Leadership Team | International Travel: 20-30%

Are you a strategic finance leader with the vision to scale international operations across complex global markets?

Henderson Brown is currently supporting our client with a fantastic opportunity.

We are seeking an exceptional Finance Director/SVP Finance to join the Executive Leadership Team of a high-growth international FMCG business. Based in London, you will lead the financial strategy across multiple global geographies, building a world-class finance function that enables sustainable growth, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance across diverse and fast-evolving markets.

This is a high-impact executive role for a commercially minded leader who thrives in international consumer product environments and enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders to drive performance, transformation, and expansion.

The Opportunity

Shape our international financial strategy

  • Develop and deliver the financial strategy for international markets, aligning regional priorities with global corporate objectives.
  • Partner closely with senior international leadership to support expansion, investment, and commercial decision-making.
  • Lead long-range planning, annual budgeting, and forecasting across multiple regions.

Lead world-class financial governance

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting across international entities in line with IFRS and local GAAP requirements.
  • Strengthen internal controls, compliance, and audit readiness across all markets.
  • Establish accounting policies and governance frameworks that balance global consistency with local statutory requirements.

Drive commercial performance

  • Partner with regional business leaders to improve margins, optimise working capital, and strengthen pricing and cost strategies.
  • Support manufacturing finance, supply chain costing, and inventory management within regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Oversee the financial performance of international distributors, joint ventures, and licensing partnerships.

Lead international growth initiatives

  • Manage financial due diligence and integration for international acquisitions, partnerships, and greenfield investments.
  • Oversee treasury activities, including foreign exchange risk management, funding, and cash repatriation.
  • Partner with tax advisers to deliver effective international tax, transfer pricing, and compliance strategies.

Build high-performing teams

  • Lead, develop, and inspire finance teams across international markets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

  • CPA, CA, CMA or CFA qualification (MBA or Master’s in Finance, Accounting or Business is advantageous).
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including at least five years in an international or global role.
  • Strong experience within regulated consumer products, FMCG/CPG, or another highly regulated industry is key.
  • Proven success leading finance strategy, governance, and transformation across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Deep knowledge of international accounting standards, tax, treasury, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience partnering with executive teams, boards, and investors in high-growth or private equity-backed organisations.
  • Outstanding financial modelling, commercial acumen, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 20-30% of the time.
  • Additional international language skills would be advantageous.
