What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead the site’s Quality and Laboratory teams, driving a culture of food safety, quality excellence, and continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation
- Take ownership of HACCP, GMP, VACCP, TACCP, traceability, and Quality Management Systems, ensuring full compliance with BRCGS, customer Codes of Practice, and food safety legislation
- Oversee laboratory operations, ensuring accurate microbiological and analytical testing, meaningful data analysis, and timely corrective actions to maintain process control
- Drive site-wide quality performance through KPI management, trend analysis, root cause investigations, and initiatives to reduce complaints, rework, waste, product holds, and non-conformances
- Lead customer complaint investigations and supplier quality performance, implementing robust corrective and preventative actions to improve product consistency and supplier compliance
- Support customer, retailer, and third-party audits, ensuring the site remains audit-ready and delivers exceptional compliance against BRCGS and customer standards
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, NPD, and Technical teams to deliver successful product launches, process improvements, and continuous quality enhancement projects
- Coach, mentor, and influence teams across the business, embedding a proactive food safety culture and driving operational excellence at every level
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a Quality Management or Senior QA leadership role within food manufacturing or FMCG
- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline, with strong working knowledge of HACCP, GMP, BRCGS, TACCP, VACCP, and food safety legislation
- Demonstrated success leading customer and third-party audits, laboratory operations, complaint investigations, and continuous improvement programmes
- Strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive lasting cultural change
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to improving quality performance and operational standards
