We’re partnering with a leading food manufacturer looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Technician to play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance. Working at the heart of the production operation, you’ll help ensure every product leaving site meets customer expectations, legislative requirements, and industry-leading standards.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carry out quality inspections, product testing, and analytical checks, ensuring any out-of-specification results are investigated and escalated promptly
- Monitor production processes, maintain full product traceability, and verify that all quality documentation is completed accurately and in real time
- Conduct GMP, glass & hard plastic, hygiene, and food safety audits, ensuring the site remains compliant with BRCGS, customer standards, and internal procedures
- Release production lines following cleaning verification and environmental swabbing, ensuring equipment is safe and ready for manufacture
- Support investigations into quality issues, implementing corrective actions and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement and Right First Time performance
- Work closely with Production, Hygiene, and Technical teams to uphold exceptional housekeeping, allergen control, and food safety standards across the factory
- Assist during customer visits and third-party audits, confidently representing the Quality function and supporting audit readiness
- Champion a proactive food safety culture by promoting best practice, maintaining high hygiene standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the site
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, or Technical role within food manufacturing or FMCG
- Good understanding of GMP, HACCP, food safety principles, traceability, and quality management systems
- Excellent attention to detail with the confidence to challenge non-conformances and maintain high quality standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively across production, hygiene, and technical teams
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a passion for continuous improvement and delivering safe, high-quality products
- Own transport and full UK working rights (no sponsorship or visas available)
