Job Type: Permanent
Offered Salary: £50000 - £60000 per annum + car allowance & hybrid working
Job Location: West Midlands (Remote)
Category: Purchasing and Procurement

A Procurement Manager role that owns distribution as well as food and drink categories, with a Buyer of your own.

Procurement Manager – Foodservice & Distribution

West Midlands
Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home
Up to £60,000 + £6,000 car allowance + 5% matched pension + benefits
Permanent

The Opportunity

We’re supporting a large, well-established multi-site business with the appointment of a Procurement Manager within its procurement team.

The role takes ownership of restaurant and foodservice distribution. You’ll also manage a Buyer of your own.

It’s a visible remit that combines category management with distribution and supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of restaurant and foodservice distribution arrangements and performance.
  • Develop and deliver category strategies across food and beverage categories.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and distribution partners on cost, service and terms.
  • Own category budgets and reforecast monthly, tracking market pricing against contract.
  • Build senior-level supplier relationships with clear performance targets.
  • Line manage and develop a Buyer.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in restaurant procurement, foodservice procurement or distribution would be ideal, along with knowledge of food and beverage sourcing.

That said, category and industry background are open, direct or indirect. What matters most is adaptability, the ability to juggle several priorities, and building excellent supplier relationships.

The business will consider established Procurement Managers and high-calibre Senior Buyers ready to step up. Previous people management is an advantage but not essential.

Why Join?

You’ll take on an area the Head of Procurement currently runs personally, which gives you visibility and influence from the start, plus a Buyer of your own to develop.

You’ll join a procurement team with real spend and scale behind it, in a business with a strong record of promoting its people.

The package is up to £60,000 plus a £6,000 car allowance, a 5% matched pension and benefits, with hybrid working.

If you’re interested in learning more, we’d be happy to have a confidential conversation.
