A stand-alone marketing role for a strong writer with ideas, where you’ll run content, LinkedIn, campaigns and client events for a B2B business that wants its marketing to show up in commercial results, not just engagement figures.
Marketing Executive – B2B Professional Services
Peterborough
Hybrid: 4 days office-based / 1 day from home
£30,000-£35,000 + benefits
Permanent, full time
The Opportunity
We’re supporting a well-established B2B professional services business with the appointment of a Marketing Executive.
This is a stand-alone role. You’ll be the business’s only dedicated marketer, working closely with senior leadership and owning marketing day to day.
It isn’t a role for someone who needs a detailed brief for every post. The business wants someone who writes well, keeps the channels running, and comes forward with ideas for what to try next.
AI tools are already used across the business and set up around its brand. You won’t be building them, but you will be expected to make the most of them.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll own marketing across content, LinkedIn, email and events, working closely with the business’s client-facing teams.
- Writing LinkedIn posts, case studies, blogs and website content.
- Running the company LinkedIn page and designing social graphics in Canva.
- Planning, building and sending campaigns to clients and contacts.
- Organising client events such as executive dinners and charity events, from venue to follow-up.
- Producing a monthly report on website traffic, LinkedIn engagement and campaign performance.
- Suggesting ideas for campaigns, content and events, drawing on the best of B2B marketing.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll have 1-3 years of marketing experience, ideally in a B2B or professional services environment such as consultancy, legal, accountancy, recruitment or financial services.
Strong writing is essential. You’ll need to write a sharp LinkedIn post, a credible case study and a clean email campaign, and know which tone each one needs.
You’ll be confident with LinkedIn, Canva and Mailchimp, comfortable using AI tools day to day, and able to pull basic reports from Google Analytics and LinkedIn page insights. Just as important, you’ll be commercially minded, organised enough to run several campaigns and events at once, and comfortable dealing with senior people.
Why Join?
This is a chance to own a brand’s marketing rather than sit in a corner of a large team. Your work will be visible to the leadership team and judged on what it does for the business.
The role offers hybrid working of four days office and one day from home, a package of £30,000-£35,000 plus benefits, and progression opportunities as the business scales.
