We’re partnering with a leading FMCG business that is looking for an experienced H&S Manager to join its senior leadership team at a large, highly automated manufacturing facility in Yorkshire.
This is more than a compliance-focused role. You’ll be responsible for driving a positive safety culture across the site, influencing leaders at all levels and ensuring Health & Safety standards remain at the forefront of everything the business does.
The Role
As H&S Manager, you will:
- Lead all Health and Safety activities across the site
- Drive a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
- Coach and influence managers to take ownership of H&S performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company standards
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
- Manage risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Deliver H&S training and awareness programmes
- Oversee ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Lead audits, inspections and compliance activities
- Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement H&S strategy
- Drive environmental and sustainability improvements across the operation
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:
- NEBOSH Diploma (essential)
- Environmental qualification (essential)
- Significant experience within a senior HSE position
- Manufacturing, FMCG, food production or industrial experience Aerospace, Automotive, Oil, Gas, Engineer Background
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001
- Knowledge of ISO 14001
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Experience driving behavioural and cultural change
- The ability to engage confidently from boardroom to shop floor
